What If I Am Not Interested with the Job Offer?

Ruby Updated by Ruby

There are two ways for you to find a job in the platform. First is by sending a message to employers and directly apply to the job ads you are interested in. The Second one is by responding to the message or job offer from employers who are interested with your profile.

Replying to employers whether you Accept, Decline or want to further discuss their offer is important because of the following factors:

  • Response Rate - not replying to employer's messages will lower your response rate and having a low response rate will give them an impression that you are not serious in finding a job in the platform.
  • Profile Visibility - the platform is designed to prioritize verified and active profiles in terms of job matching and repeatedly not replying to employer's messages may tag your profile as inactive.
  • Impression - replying to employer's messages whether you Accept, Decline or want to further discuss their offers shows professionalism and respect an. On the other hand, not replying gives off a rude and negative impression to them.

Remember to always leave a good impression to employers. One good motivation to keep in mind is that you may not be a perfect match right now but in the future, maybe you will be. So be prompt, respectful and professional when dealing with job offers from employers!
