Some employers may offer an amount higher than the minimum wage when they are looking for a helper with certain years of experience or specific skills.
Currently, the minimum wage in some locations is stated as below by HelperChoice:
- Job offers in Hong Kong for all domestic workers: HKD 4630
- Job offers in Singapore for all domestic workers: SGD 550
- Job offers in the Middle East for Filipino domestic workers: USD 400
- Job offers in the Middle East for domestic workers with other nationalities: depending on the home country's regulation
