How should I introduce myself?

Ruby Updated by Ruby

When you create your profile, we will ask you to describe yourself. You should showcase the qualities that you think are most important to employers.

Good qualities can be trustworthy, tidy or patient, have a nursing/education degree etc. Don’t repeat information that is already included in your profile. For example, saying “My name is Maricel, from the Philippines” is not useful since it’s already included in your profile. Avoid writing things like: “I am looking for an employer” – we know this too because you’re on HelperChoice!

Try to showcase your personal qualities. Are you patient? Are you a good tutor? Are you a fast learner? Then let your future employer know! You can even give them an idea of what your hobbies are and what you like to do on weekends.

You can also give more details about your previous job experiences, such as how old the children you took care of were.

Do not disclose any personal details such as your full name, your contact numbers, the names of your family members or the name of your previous employer.

Use proper grammar so it is easier to read. We understand that it might be difficult to type perfectly on a phone, but try not to use “,,,” or “..” as punctuation, and use capital letters where appropriate.
